The Starlight Xpress Camera Trius SX-46 Mono is a high-end full-frame CCD camera designed for advanced astrophotography. It features a 16.7 megapixel ON Semiconductor KAF-16200 sensor with an APS-H format (27 x 21.6 mm) and 6.0 μm pixels, delivering high resolution and excellent sensitivity. The camera is equipped with a mechanical roller blind shutter for uniform exposures, a multi-coated synthetic sapphire input window for superior thermal conductivity, and a compact, dry argon-filled CCD chamber that eliminates the need for desiccant. Its three-stage Peltier cooler provides cooling of more than 50°C below ambient, ensuring low noise and high image quality even during long exposures.
