Vixen Polar Fine Adjustment Unit for Polarie (49399)

This accessory for the Polarie photography mount enables precise adjustment of both polar elevation and north alignment. The more accurately you align the Polarie to the Pole Star, the longer your possible exposure times will be.

The fine adjustment unit is placed between the Polarie and the tripod. It allows you to make exact adjustments in both azimuth and altitude. For best results, it is recommended to use this unit together with the Vixen Polarie polar finder scope.

To use the fine adjustment, first select your general latitude range using the included hexagon wrench. There are three zones to choose from: 0° to 30°, 30° to 60°, or 60° to 85°. Once the zone is set, you can make fine adjustments within a range of +/- 15°, with each full rotation of the adjustment screw moving the angle by 5.7°.
