Vixen DX Polarie U (73322)

The Vixen DX Polarie U is a precision polar wedge designed to be placed between your tripod and your mount or tracking unit. This accessory enables accurate equatorial alignment, allowing the tracking axis to run parallel to the Earth's axis—essential for long-exposure astrophotography. The DX fine-tuning unit allows for delicate adjustments in all directions, helping you achieve exact polar alignment for your setup.

On top of the fine tuner is a quick-release fastener compatible with both the Vixen quick-change angle plate and the Arca Swiss system, making it easy to quickly attach or remove your star tracker. Two M8 threaded holes, spaced 35mm apart, allow you to swap the quick-release clamps for an optional dovetail rail installation block. This feature makes it possible to mount telescopes or heavy telephoto lenses, such as the Vixen FL55SS. The DX fine-tuner is equipped with both 1/4 and 3/8 inch threads, so it fits most modern tripods, and it can also be adapted for use with Vixen telescope tripods. The unit provides a wide adjustment range from -30 degrees to 90 degrees in elevation and a full 360 degrees in azimuth, with fine adjustments possible within +/- 7.5 degrees.
