Description

The Fluorostar features a triplet objective lens design with air gaps, crafted from premium FPL-53 ED glass by Ohara, Japan, combined with lanthanum elements. This exceptional construction guarantees outstanding color fidelity and crystal-clear images—making the Fluorostar a truly high-end instrument.

Pair this apochromat with a high-quality William Optics star diagonal, and you’ll experience stellar views rarely matched by other telescopes. Binary stars are sharply resolved, Jupiter’s bright bands and zones reveal intricate detail, and Saturn’s rings look as if you’re seeing them from up close.

Thanks to its large, unobstructed aperture—free from the secondary mirrors found in reflectors—you can explore the full expanse of Messier objects and deep-sky targets. Anyone who’s looked through a high-quality apochromat like this will be captivated by the universe!

For astrophotography, the large image circle offers full illumination for even full-frame cameras. When paired with the William Optics Flat7A field flattener, you get a fast f/5.6 system with perfectly flat images. The flattener can be securely threaded onto the focuser.

The precision rack-and-pinion focuser features smooth dual-speed (1:10) fine adjustment, a temperature display, and a wide range of travel. It easily supports heavy astrophotography equipment and allows for full 360° rotation to perfectly frame your shot.

A standout feature of the new William Optics apochromats is the specially designed Bahtinov focus mask. Made from optical-grade acrylic glass with 92% transparency, these new masks produce a diffraction pattern that is about three times brighter than traditional metal masks, making it easier to achieve perfect focus even with fainter stars.
