MAGUS CLM microscope cameras are designed specifically for imaging under fluorescent light and darkfield conditions. The CLM30 model produces a color image with a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels at 45 frames per second, or 1920x1080 pixels at 70 frames per second. This results in clear, high-quality images and smooth video transitions, which is especially important when observing moving specimens. With an 8.3MP sensor, the camera is well-suited for use with 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives, allowing for detailed visualization of fine structures. The built-in USB3.0 interface ensures high-speed data transfer to a computer, making this camera a reliable choice for professional research and university-level teaching.

The camera features a SONY Exmor color CMOS sensor with a 1/1.2-inch diagonal. This sensor uses back-illumination technology to enhance light sensitivity, which reaches 5970mV at a shutter speed of 1/30 second. The pixel size is 2.9 x 2.9 μm, providing high-quality color images even when working under fluorescent lighting and with low-magnification objectives. For the widest field of view without distortion, use an adapter with a magnification of 0.75–1x.

A notable feature of the CLM30 is its integrated Peltier element, a thermoelectric module that cools the sensor to 42°C below room temperature. This cooling prevents the build-up of thermal noise during long periods of operation or extended exposures, so the image remains sharp and free from interference.

The camera includes its own software, allowing you to capture photos and videos, process your results, and measure linear and angular dimensions of objects and their structures. Before making measurements, it is necessary to calibrate the device for each objective lens. The ability to display real-time images on an external screen is especially useful for demonstrations or group observations.

The camera is installed in the microscope’s trinocular tube with a C-mount adapter.
