Video eyepiece equipped with an 8.3MP SONY Exmor digital sensor. The back-illumination technology in the sensor enhances light sensitivity and allows the camera to capture bright, clear images even in low-light environments. This camera is suitable for both darkfield and brightfield microscopy using objectives with 4x, 10x, and 20x magnification, and can also be used with stereomicroscopes. It connects to a computer through a USB3.0 port, ensuring fast data transfer at speeds up to 5Gbps and smooth image display on a monitor.

The MAGUS CDF30 camera can be mounted in either the trinocular tube or the eyepiece tube of a microscope. For the best, distortion-free field of view, use an adapter with a magnification between 0.65x and 0.9x. Installing the camera in the eyepiece tube requires both the adapter and a ring that matches the tube’s diameter.

Images are displayed on the computer screen at a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 pixels, with a frame rate of 45 frames per second. At a lower resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, the frame rate increases to 70 frames per second. This ensures nearly seamless frame transitions, with no delays—ideal for studying and presenting moving specimens. Photos and videos can be recorded and saved in multiple formats.

To use the MAGUS CDF30 digital camera, install the included drivers and MAGUS View software from the provided CD onto your computer. The software requires calibration for each objective, which should be performed using a calibration slide (not included in the kit).
