Description
The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS Microscope is a perfect gift for curious teenagers and anyone interested in scientific exploration. With a maximum magnification of 1280x, this instrument makes it possible to observe even the tiniest details in various samples. Its robust and reliable metal body is suitable for both home use and laboratory work in schools and universities.
Magnification and Optics:
The microscope comes with three objective lenses. The strongest lens (40xs) is equipped with a spring-loaded safety mechanism, which protects the optics from damage by retracting if the lens touches the sample. A 2x Barlow lens is also included, doubling the available magnification. Standard configuration provides six magnification options: 64x, 128x, 160x, 320x, 640x, and 1280x.
High-quality, highly transparent glass optics are used, with multi-layer anti-reflective coating. This guarantees bright, clear, and high-contrast images, even at high magnifications.
Combined LED Illumination:
The microscope features two LED illumination systems. The lower light is ideal for observing transparent samples, such as insect wings or microorganisms in water. The upper light is used for non-transparent objects, including paper and metal. Both illumination systems can be used together for semi-transparent samples. The brightness of each light is adjustable.
Ergonomics and Durability:
Constructed with a sturdy metal body, the microscope features a head that is inclined at 45 degrees and can rotate 360 degrees. This design ensures comfortable use, especially in group settings—simply rotate the head for better viewing, rather than moving the entire microscope.
The microscope can also be used outdoors, with illumination powered either by a wall outlet or by standard AA batteries.
Voltage Note:
Always check the specifications table for the correct mains voltage. Do not connect a 110V device to a 220V outlet or vice versa without a converter. Mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V, while in most European countries it is 220-240V.
Experiment Kit:
The microscope includes the Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, designed for children and beginners to conduct their first experiments. It is recommended to begin with the prepared slides, and then try preparing your own specimens using the included tools. The user guide offers information on microscope operation, slide preparation, and detailed experiment instructions.
Storage and Transport:
A durable and practical plastic case is included, protecting the microscope from dust and mechanical shock.
