Description

This version features a special front design with a back focal length of only 14.5 mm. Models with the "SBFL" suffix can easily connect to Canon or Nikon lenses, even when using a filter wheel. There is a 4 mm hole on the side of the adapter for connecting an air pump, which can be used to prevent dewing of the glass when needed.

The QHY600PH is a back-illuminated, cooled CMOS camera with 60 megapixels and true 16-bit A/D conversion. The full-frame sensor has a 35 mm diagonal, with 3.76 μm square pixels, measuring 36 mm x 24 mm.

This camera uses Sony’s Exmor BSI CMOS technology with an electronic rolling shutter, providing extremely low dark current. QHYCCD’s patented technology helps reduce thermal noise, and two-stage thermoelectric cooling lowers dark current noise to extremely low levels.

Back-Illuminated CMOS Structure

Back-illuminated CMOS sensors allow light to enter the photosensitive surface from the reverse side, increasing the amount of light that reaches the sensor and improving sensitivity. This design results in higher quantum efficiency, meaning more photons are converted to electrons, making the camera more effective at capturing faint objects.

Cooling and Anti-Dew Control

The camera includes dual-stage TE cooling and proprietary hardware to control dark current noise. The optical window features a built-in dew heater, and the camera chamber is protected from internal humidity. An electric heating board prevents dew formation on the window.

Sealing Technology

With almost 20 years of experience, QHY has developed advanced sealing solutions. The sensor chamber is kept dry with a silicon gel tube socket, preventing humidity and oil leaks.

Mono or Color Options

  • Mono: Suitable for advanced imaging techniques (such as LRGB and narrowband) and additional applications like spectrometry and photometry.

  • Color: Ideal for convenient RGB imaging with no need for extra filters or filter wheels.
