The Leica Calonox 2 View LRF thermal camera is the ideal partner for wildlife observation at night or spotting animals during the day. Made in Leica’s advanced factory in Portugal, it features a fully-integrated laser rangefinder (LRF) that can be activated directly on the device or via an optional remote control. Its ergonomic, compact shape and intuitive operation make handling simple, while rapid mechanical switching between day and night modes adds convenience. Optimized eye relief and a bright, adjustable display ensure comfortable viewing, even in daylight.

A European LYNRED sensor combined with Leica’s image processing software (Leica Image Optimization – LIO™) delivers images that are sharp, high in contrast, and rich in detail. Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The fully-integrated laser rangefinder allows for precise distance measurement up to 1,000 meters, making it easy to range wildlife in any environment.

The LYNRED sensor and Leica’s advanced processing software provide natural, high-contrast images at a smooth 60 Hz refresh rate. Panning remains fluid, and video recordings of moving subjects are smooth and uninterrupted.

The sensor (640 x 480 pixels, 12 µm) ensures sharp, detailed, and high-contrast images. The software-based shutter enables silent, instant recalibration without freezing the image.

A large micro OLED display (1280 x 960 pixels) delivers brilliant clarity and low noise. Pixel binning enhances light capture, offering distortion-free observation. The 42 mm lens provides a wide field of view for excellent situational awareness and quick spotting.

4x Zoom for Detail Recognition
Basic optical magnification is 2.5x, with digital zoom up to 4x. Objects 1.8 meters tall can be detected up to 2,210 meters, recognized at 770 meters, and reliably identified at 390 meters.
