ZWO Camera ASI 2600 MM DUO Mono (83050)

The ASI2600MM Duo Mono brings both imaging and guiding sensors together in a single, compact body. The primary sensor is the Sony IMX571, featuring a native 16-bit ADC, a dynamic range of 14 stops, and 3.76 micrometer square pixels. Readout noise is as low as 1.0 e, and the full well capacity reaches an impressive 80,000 e, all with no amplifier glow. The guiding sensor is the SC2210, offering excellent near-infrared sensitivity and matching the performance of the ZWO ASI 220MM mini camera.

Description

The ASI2600MM Duo Mono brings both imaging and guiding sensors together in a single, compact body. The primary sensor is the Sony IMX571, featuring a native 16-bit ADC, a dynamic range of 14 stops, and 3.76 micrometer square pixels. Readout noise is as low as 1.0 e, and the full well capacity reaches an impressive 80,000 e, all with no amplifier glow.

The guiding sensor is the SC2210, offering excellent near-infrared sensitivity and matching the performance of the ZWO ASI 220MM mini camera. It has a sensor size of 7.68 mm x 4.32 mm, 4x4 micrometer pixels, a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, and a full well capacity of 8,780 e. Stars in the corners of guide images may not appear perfectly round due to the flange focal distance, but this is normal and does not affect standard use.

With its compact design, the ASI2600MM Duo Mono requires only a USB cable for control, minimizing cable management and simplifying setup. There is no need for a separate off-axis guider or guiding camera.

Key features:

  • STARVIS technology for enhanced sensitivity and noise reduction with Sony’s back-illuminated CMOS sensor

  • Native 16-bit ADC for true 14-stop dynamic range, resulting in sharp images, high contrast, and smooth color gradients

  • Maximum frame rate of 15 fps in RAW8 mode at full resolution, even faster than the ASI 2600 MC Pro

  • USB 3.0 interface and 512 MB DDR3 buffer for stable, reliable data transfer and prevention of image dropouts

  • No amplifier glow, thanks to the zero-amp glow circuit—even at high gain and long exposures

  • Quantum efficiency (QE) of over 91% based on ZWO’s test results

  • Two-stage TEC cooling enables sensor temperatures to drop over 35°C below ambient, reducing dark current and sensor noise even during long exposures

  • Extremely low dark current noise, providing low-noise images even with moderate cooling

  • Anti-frost polyimide heater prevents condensation or icing; power consumption is about 5W and can be turned off to save power

Power supply requirement:
Stable operation requires an external 12V power supply (12V, 3A, 5.5 / 2.1 mm), as the camera draws 1 ampere even without cooling. Standard USB ports do not provide enough current.
