Fenix HM65R – a powerful headlamp for demanding users

The headlamp features a rugged body made of magnesium alloy, a material known for its resistance to mechanical damage, corrosion, and harsh weather conditions. Its compact, lightweight, cable-free design makes it highly convenient for outdoor activities such as caving, camping, hiking, and nighttime running.

The main light source is a Cree XM-L2 U2 LED producing up to 1,000 lumens in a cool white beam, ideal for applications requiring brightness and intensity. A smooth reflector provides a concentrated beam with a range of up to 163 meters. The headlamp also includes a secondary XP-G2 R5 neutral-white LED with a collimating lens for evenly dispersed illumination at close distances. Beam angle adjustment is achieved by tilting the lamp module.

The Fenix HM65R is powered by an included 18650 rechargeable battery and can also use two CR123 disposable batteries. The 18650 option is recommended for full performance and longer runtime. The built-in USB-C port allows high-current charging (1.5 A) without removing the battery, which is especially convenient during extended use.

The headlamp uses two separate buttons, making operation intuitive and allowing full control without removing it from your head. Each LED is controlled independently, including brightness adjustment.

• The long-range XM-L2 U2 LED offers 4 modes: turbo (1000 lm), high (400 lm), medium (130 lm), low (50 lm).

• The XP-G2 R5 flood emitter offers 3 modes: high (400 lm), medium (130 lm), low (8 lm).

• Using both emitters simultaneously provides a combined output of up to 1,400 lumens.

Runtime in turbo mode can reach up to 4 hours, depending on the battery used.

The HM65R includes reverse polarity protection to guard against incorrect battery installation. Its IP68 rating ensures full protection against dust, heavy rain, and immersion in water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. A comfortable upgraded headband with moisture-wicking material and reflective inserts increases safety during nighttime movement. A constant-current driver ensures stable long-duration operation.
