The Sony PXW-Z300 3-CMOS XDCAM Camcorder is a broadcast-ready shoulder camera that uses three 1/2"-type CMOS sensors to record video at up to UHD 4K60. It combines advanced AI-powered autofocus, enhanced network features, video authentication, a high-bright touchscreen LCD on the side, a flexible LCD arm, HEVC proxy recording, and SRT streaming to support demanding professional workflows.

4K Exmor R CMOS sensors and BIONZ XR processor
The PXW-Z300 uses a BIONZ XR image processor working together with three 4K Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensors in real time. This combination delivers detailed, lifelike images with accurate colour, deep depth of field, and very low noise, even in challenging lighting conditions.

17x zoom lens
The integrated 17x zoom lens covers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 30.3 to 515mm with a constant maximum aperture of f/1.9. A digital extender offers 2x, 3x, or 4x magnification when shooting in HD and 1.5x magnification in UHD 4K. Separate focus, iris, and zoom rings enable fast manual adjustments while keeping your eye in the viewfinder. You can switch between autofocus and full manual focus by sliding the focus ring forward or backward.

Advanced AI processing unit for autofocus
A dedicated AI processing unit provides intelligent subject recognition for autofocus. The camera can maintain focus on subjects even if they are turned away, wearing masks, positioned at a distance, in the shade, or backlit. Auto composition can be used to keep human subjects centered in the frame, supporting more polished framing in fast-paced situations.

Optical image stabilization
Integrated optical image stabilization helps to reduce blur and camera shake during handheld shooting, producing steadier footage in the field.

Look matching and picture profiles
The PXW-Z300 supports S-Cinetone, ITU709, and 709tone look presets for SDR (BT.709), as well as HLG Live, HLG Mild, and HLG Natural presets for HDR (HLG), making it easy to match colour with other Sony cameras. Custom 3D LUTs can be imported to create or match specific looks.

Versatile recording and format options

• Dual memory card support, picture cache recording, interval recording, and slow & quick motion offer flexible capture options.

• Multiple frame rate choices include UHD 4K and HD at 24 to 60p, plus 50 and 60i in HD.

• MXF recording in MPEG HD422 is complemented by XAVC Intra, XAVC Long, and MP4 proxy options for efficient post-production and delivery.
