Description

Sleek, compact, and surprisingly capable, the Silver OM-D E-M10 Mark IV brings many of Olympus’s higher-end technologies into a small, travel-friendly body. It uses a 20.3 MP Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor and a TruePic VIII image processor, delivering UHD 4K video, fast 8.7 fps continuous shooting, and a broad ISO 200–25,600 range (expandable to ISO 100) for work in all kinds of lighting. The sensor is paired with a 121-point contrast-detect AF system that borrows subject-detection logic from the E-M1 series for fast, intelligent focus. A 5-axis in-body image stabilization system compensates for about 4.5 stops of camera shake, helping keep handheld shots sharp.

Despite its small size, the E-M10 Mark IV features a large, 3.0" 1.04M-dot touchscreen LCD that tilts upward 80° and downward 180°, making it ideal for high- and low-angle shooting and front-facing selfies. For eye-level shooting, there is a 2.36M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth make it easy to connect to a smartphone or tablet, allowing wireless image transfer and remote camera control via the OM Image Share app.

20.3 MP Live MOS Sensor and TruePic VIII Processor

  • 20.3 MP Four Thirds Live MOS sensor for detailed stills and clean images at higher ISO settings.

  • TruePic VIII processor supports:

    • ISO range from 200–25,600 (expandable down to 100)

    • Continuous shooting at up to 8.7 fps at full resolution

    • UHD 4K (3840 × 2160) video up to 29.97 fps (approx. 102 Mb/s)

    • Full HD 1080p up to 59.94 fps (18–52 Mb/s)

    • HD 720p up to 59.94 fps (10–26 Mb/s)

  • Suitable for both stills and video, with enough speed for capturing moving subjects and everyday action.

5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization

  • Sensor-shift stabilization works with any attached lens and compensates for up to roughly 4.5 stops of camera shake.

  • Corrects five types of movement: pitch, yaw, horizontal shift, vertical shift, and roll.

  • Benefits telephoto shooting, macro work, long exposures and hand-held video.

121-Point Contrast-Detection AF with Subject Detection

  • 121 contrast-detect AF points cover much of the frame for accurate, responsive focusing.

  • Continuous AF uses subject-detection algorithms from the E-M1X (sports-focused model) for better tracking of moving subjects.

  • Face and Eye Detection, inherited from the E-M1 Mark III, can detect and focus on faces in profile, tilted downward, or partially hidden.

  • Manual focus is supported by MF assist tools like focus peaking and magnified live view for precise fine-tuning.

Body Design and Connectivity

  • 2.36M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with 0.67× magnification and 100% coverage for clear, eye-level framing.

  • 3.0" 1.04M-dot touchscreen LCD tilts 80° up and 180° down for flexible composition and easy selfies; touch control simplifies menu navigation and playback.

  • BLS-50 rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 360 shots per charge.

  • Micro-USB port supports in-camera charging and data transfer.

  • Single SD card slot supports SD/SDHC/SDXC media and is UHS-II compatible for faster read/write speeds.

  • Built-in Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth 4.2 enable wireless image sharing and remote shooting via the OM Image Share app (Android and iOS), including live view and access to stored files.

Creative Shooting Modes

  • Live Composite gradually builds up an exposure by only adding newly detected light sources, ideal for star trails, light painting and other moving lights without overexposing the rest of the scene.

  • Live Bulb and Live Time:

    • Live Bulb keeps the shutter open while the release is held, up to 1 minute, with live preview updates.

    • Live Time opens the shutter with one press and closes it with another, up to 1 minute, letting you watch the exposure develop.

  • Interval Shooting supports up to 999 frames with intervals from 1 second to 24 hours, enabling time-lapse sequences.

  • Art Filters include Pop Art, Soft Focus, Pale & Light Color, Light Tone, Grainy Film, Pin Hole, Diorama, Cross Process, Gentle Sepia, Dramatic Tone, Key Line, Watercolor, Vintage, Partial Color (18 variations), Bleach Bypass and Instant Film, giving in-camera creative looks without extra editing.
