Ricoh GR IIIx HDF EU (SKU RI-01282)

The Ricoh GR IIIx HDF was developed in response to photographers who wanted a GR-series camera that offers a fresh perspective compared to the GR III. It uses a newly designed 26.1mm GR lens that provides a 40mm angle of view (in 35mm terms), a focal length that closely matches natural human vision and gives a different, more intimate look for everyday and street photography.

This special HDF version adds a built-in Highlight Diffusion Filter, giving you a new way to render light and highlights directly in-camera.

The GR IIIx HDF keeps all the strengths of the standard GR IIIx—excellent image quality, fast and reliable operation, and great portability—and adds an integrated HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter).

• With a single action, you can activate the HDF to produce soft, gentle images with diffused highlight areas.

• With HDF turned off, you get the classic GR look: clean, sharp, high-contrast images.

This lets you switch instantly between two completely different visual styles, depending on your subject or creative vision. The HDF emphasizes bright highlights and creates a mellow, diffused rendering, expanding the expressive potential of snapshot photography.

Note: The ND filter found in other GR models has been replaced by the HDF in this version.

The GR IIIx HDF is equipped with the latest GR lens, designed to surpass previous GR lenses in optical performance. It delivers high resolution, excellent contrast, and pleasing rendering across the frame.

24.24 MP APS-C Sensor

• Approximately 24.24 effective megapixels provide detailed, high-quality images.

• The sensor is designed without an optical low-pass (AA) filter to achieve extremely sharp, high-definition rendering, even in very fine details.

Together with the GR image engine, the lens and sensor produce crisp, detailed photos with natural color and smooth tonal gradation.

Fast, Precise Focusing and Stabilization

High-Speed Hybrid Autofocus

• On-sensor phase detection AF provides fast subject acquisition.

• Contrast-detection AF ensures precise fine focus.

• The hybrid system combines both methods to deliver faster, more accurate autofocus performance.

Shake Reduction Mechanism

• The camera uses a 3-axis sensor-shift (IBIS) Shake Reduction system.

• It compensates for camera movement, providing up to approximately 4 stops of stabilization (CIPA standard, shutter speed equivalent), helping you shoot sharper images handheld.

Direct, Intuitive Control
The camera is designed for fast, direct operation in the field:

• The LCD monitor supports full touch operation, including AF point movement and menu navigation.
