Infinity-corrected semi-plan achromatic optics

Microscopes in the Levenhuk MED 30 series use an infinity-corrected optical system commonly found in high-end professional microscopes. Infinity SemiPlan objectives deliver clear, high-contrast images with a high degree of field flatness. This optical design also allows the installation of additional components in the optical path between the objectives and the eyepiece tube.

Thanks to this design, accessories such as polarizers and epi-fluorescence modules can be added easily. All Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes include a dedicated slot for polarizer installation. The modular structure and user-friendly operation make these microscopes well suited for various microscopy techniques and for work in hematological, histological, microbiological, and other laboratory environments.

Trinocular head with beam splitter

The trinocular head separates the visual path from the camera tube, allowing simultaneous visual observation through the eyepieces and digital image capture. The head rotates 360 degrees, which is particularly useful for group work and collaborative research. The viewing section is inclined at 30 degrees for comfortable observation and includes a beam splitter for efficient light distribution.

Optical components with anti-fungal coating

The eyepieces and objective lenses are made of high-quality optical glass and are protected with an anti-fungal coating. Semi-plan achromatic optics improve field flatness, enhance color reproduction, and reduce chromatic aberrations. The microscope is supplied with 10x eyepieces that provide a wide and comfortable field of view. Five objectives are included, with higher-magnification objectives featuring spring-loaded protective mounts. The 100x objective supports oil immersion. Focus is adjusted using coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs.

Digital functionality

The built-in digital camera operates independently and does not require additional software installation. All camera functions are accessible through the LCD touchscreen. The camera can be connected to external displays and supports a wide range of accessories, including memory cards, headphones, and input devices. A 5-megapixel sensor produces high-quality images and smooth video recordings with a stable frame rate.

The integrated software allows adjustment of image size, brightness, contrast, exposure time, and white balance. It also supports camera and objective calibration as well as specimen measurement in multiple units. Observing specimens on the LCD screen instead of through the eyepieces significantly reduces eye strain and increases user comfort during extended work sessions.

Convenient slide handling and illumination

The microscope is equipped with a mechanical stage featuring measurement scales for precise specimen positioning. Beneath the stage is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm, followed by a bright LED illumination system with adjustable brightness. Köhler illumination can be configured for optimal image quality. The illumination system is powered via an AC power supply.
