Magus Bio 240T Biological Microscope (83477)
The MAGUS Bio 240T is a compact biological microscope designed for education and scientific research. It is intended for observing transparent and translucent biological specimens using the brightfield method. The microscope is equipped with a coded revolving nosepiece that preserves the selected illumination level for each objective, as well as an LCD screen that displays current operating parameters. This model features a trinocular head with a vertical tube for mounting a digital video camera. Light distribution is selectable between 0/100 and 100/0, directing all light either to the camera or to the eyepieces.

Description
The MAGUS Bio 240T is a compact biological microscope designed for education and scientific research. It is intended for observing transparent and translucent biological specimens using the brightfield method. The microscope is equipped with a coded revolving nosepiece that preserves the selected illumination level for each objective, as well as an LCD screen that displays current operating parameters.
This model features a trinocular head with a vertical tube for mounting a digital video camera. Light distribution is selectable between 0/100 and 100/0, directing all light either to the camera or to the eyepieces. The optics are infinity-corrected, and both eyepiece tubes rotate through 360°, allowing the user to adjust the viewing height comfortably. Eye relief is user-adjustable, and each eyepiece tube includes a diopter adjustment ring for fine-tuning image sharpness to match individual vision. The microscope is supplied with two 10×/20 mm eyepieces, fitted with rubber eyecups that protect eyeglasses from contact and damage.
The four-position revolving nosepiece is oriented away from the user, keeping the area above the stage unobstructed. The intelligent lighting system memorizes brightness settings for each objective and automatically restores the appropriate illumination when objectives are changed. This prevents sudden changes in brightness, reduces eye fatigue, and saves time—especially useful when magnification is changed frequently during lessons or routine work.
Focusing is performed using coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs positioned low on the microscope body, allowing the user to rest their hands on the table while working. A coarse focus lock on the left side stabilizes focus after objective changes, while a tension adjustment ring on the right allows the user to set the resistance of coarse focusing travel to their preference.
The mechanical specimen stage uses a belt-driven mechanism that ensures smooth, gentle specimen movement. The specimen holder is secured with two screws and can be completely removed when required, for example during manual scanning.
A notable feature is the fixed and centered Abbe condenser, aligned along the optical axis. Because it is fixed, the condenser cannot be accidentally displaced, which is especially important in educational settings. The condenser has a numerical aperture of 1.25 and includes objective magnification markings on its body. The iris diaphragm is adjusted by setting a knob to the marking that corresponds to the active objective, ensuring optimal contrast and specimen visibility.
Illumination is provided by a 3 W LED with a service life of up to 50,000 hours. The illuminator allows color temperature adjustment from 3000 to 7000 K, enabling the user to select lighting conditions best suited to the specimen and viewing comfort.
All selected settings—including objective magnification, illumination parameters, and operating mode—are shown on the LCD display. Using two control knobs, the user can adjust brightness, activate sleep mode, or set an automatic power-off timer.
The microscope features a practical and ergonomic design. Once placed on the work surface, the power supply and power cord are concealed, keeping the workspace tidy. Side openings in the stand function as carrying handles, making the microscope easy to move or transport.
