The Omegon Pro APO DoubleED AP 40/180 Sixtuplet is designed for astrophotographers who want compact size without sacrificing image quality. It allows you to capture the night sky with accurate colours, strong contrast and a flat, well-corrected field, revealing structures that simpler optics often fail to show.
This 40 mm apochromatic refractor features a sophisticated six-lens (sixtuplet) design. Two elements are made from high-quality ED glass, ensuring excellent colour correction even at its fast focal ratio of f/4.5. The result is a sharp, colour-neutral image suitable for wide-field astrophotography.
An integrated field corrector provides a fully illuminated and flat image circle up to 44 mm, making the telescope compatible with full-frame cameras. All lens surfaces are treated with effective multi-coating to minimize reflections and improve contrast.
Advanced Optical Design
The six-element construction delivers strong field correction and high image fidelity across the frame. The combination of premium ED glass and careful optical engineering produces crisp stars and detailed deep-sky images with minimal chromatic aberration.
Helical Focusing System
The telescope is equipped with a precision helical focuser that allows smooth and accurate adjustment, even when using heavier camera equipment. The focuser includes an M48 connection on the telescope side and provides 55 mm of backfocus. It also features a rotating mechanism for convenient camera alignment.
