The SAILOR 6391 Navtex System represents the cutting edge of functionality and flexibility for SOLAS-mandated Navtex receivers. This innovative system features a black box design with a separate touch screen user interface, offering a new approach that significantly enhances safety and efficiency while maintaining full SOLAS compliance. As a next-generation system, it opens up new possibilities for installation and operation today, with the potential to integrate into a fully networked bridge in the future.
Why Choose SAILOR?
SAILOR products are celebrated globally for their exceptional quality, reliability, durability, and user-friendly design. They ensure safety by facilitating communication under all conditions. Fully designed in-house, the SAILOR 6391 Navtex System embodies these attributes, ensuring you receive all pertinent Navtex messages worldwide. Opting for the SAILOR 6391 Navtex System provides you with:
- 100% network integration – Offering flexible installation options.
- Multifunction user-friendly touch screen interface – Compatible with various devices.
- Easy & cost-effective servicing and software updates – Accessible both onboard and remotely.
- SOLAS compliance for Navtex messages – Part of the SAILOR 6000 GMDSS Series.
- Future-proof design – Ready for integration with bridge and communication systems.
Modular Design
The SAILOR 6391 Navtex System includes the SAILOR 6390 Navtex Receiver, which captures Navtex messages on international frequencies 490 kHz, 518 kHz, and 4209.5 kHz, along with the SAILOR 6004 Control Panel. This 7” touch screen offers excellent visibility in all light conditions, ensuring all messages are clear and accessible. Thanks to its modular design, the receiver can be installed anywhere on the vessel, while the control panel can be conveniently placed on the bridge. They are connected via dual LAN (with NMEA included), ensuring highly reliable communication and remarkably flexible installation.
Touch Screen Apps
While the SAILOR 6390 Navtex Receiver can operate as a standalone unit and integrate with any Integrated Navigation System (INS), the SAILOR 6004 Control Panel extends its functionality by supporting other networked devices, such as the SAILOR 628x AIS System. It functions as a true multifunction display with a familiar touchscreen interface, allowing users to simply select the appropriate app icon for control and access. This capability enhances operational efficiency and safety while reducing costs.
Network Advantage
The networking capabilities of the SAILOR 6391 Navtex System leverage the open ThraneLINK protocol, developed internally at Cobham SATCOM. The Thrane Management Application (TMA) adds a layer of functionality, enabling engineers to manage the network and all connected devices from a single access point. This feature simplifies maintenance and software upgrades, making them more cost-effective and even allowing remote access from shore. The SAILOR 6391 is a pioneering product in the realm of connected maritime safety.
