Description

Entel's industrial-grade DTEx DMR Digital Series was designed without compromise, delivering clear and loud audio that's essential for high-noise environments. This ATEX-certified portable is built to meet the safety and business-critical needs of its users. With both display and non-display models, the DTEx series is versatile and feature-rich, adaptable for both simple and advanced system configurations.

With its market-leading IP68 submersible rating, capable of withstanding 2 meters of water for 4 hours, the DTEx is perfect for everyday use in extreme environments. The ultra-tactile buttons and high torque controls ensure it can be operated even while wearing gloves, making it ideal for harsh conditions.

The DTEx series supports both analogue and digital DMR modes, offering 99 channels across 8 zones. The radios feature AES 256-bit encryption, group and individual calling, Lone Worker and Man-Down safety features, and IP site roaming as optional licensed features. The large white-on-black OLED display ensures superior readability in all lighting conditions, adding to its intuitive user interface.

One of the key benefits of digital mode is its superior audio quality, extended range, and improved battery life compared to analogue radios. With TDMA Digital mode, battery endurance is increased by up to 40%, providing longer standby and talk times. The DTEx’s Li-ion battery technology also eliminates the memory effect, ensuring a full charge every time without the need to fully discharge.

Durability is a standout feature, with the DTEx built to meet MILSTD 810C/D/E/F standards, protecting it from shock, vibration, dust, and moisture. The robust accessory socket, with a gold-plated multi-pin interface, is designed to withstand rough use and is submersible to ensure long-term reliability. Each accessory is validated upon connection to maintain IS protection levels.

The DTEx series is also field-upgradable via Entel’s End User Programmer app, allowing free software updates without the need for site visits. This saves both time and expense, keeping the radios up-to-date with the latest features.

Two-Slot Simplex functionality allows the DTEx to double channel capacity without a repeater, making both channels available on simplex and DMR446 channels. This feature increases communication efficiency without requiring additional infrastructure.

Other essential features include keylock to prevent accidental operation and programmable channel monitor buttons that allow users to temporarily disable channel protection and monitor all signals. The DTEx supports Individual and Group calling, as well as Caller ID, which can be viewed on display models.

Multiple channel zones provide flexibility, with up to 99 channels per zone, allowing the radios to support different user groups or locations. IP Site Roaming offers seamless communication across large areas by roaming between multiple DMR repeaters.

Text messaging is supported using the DMR protocol, enabling communication between radios, PC dispatchers, and alarm systems. Additionally, the ability to program a custom switch-on logo adds a personal touch to the radios.

The All-Call feature enables the radio to communicate with all users on a channel, making it ideal for emergency broadcasts such as evacuation calls. Memory scan allows users to create or change their own channel scan lists, ensuring they can easily monitor the most important channels.

Entel offers a vast range of audio accessories, including bone-conductive options for high-noise environments and Breathing Apparatus communication kits. Entel’s Sure Speech™ technology tailors the audio to the connected accessory, ensuring optimal clarity and volume.

For added security, AES 256-bit encryption is available as a licensed feature. This provides the highest level of communication protection, safeguarding sensitive conversations. For users not restricted to IIC regulations, the DTEx offers ATEX IIA T4 approval, supporting up to 4 watts of transmitter power for broader coverage.

Safety is a key concern, and the DTEx comes with a programmable personal attack button. When activated, this sends an alarm to other radios and sounds a local alert. The Lone Worker and Man-Down features, along with the emergency button, provide multiple levels of safety, ensuring that an alarm is raised even if the channel is busy.
