Description

A focal reducer shortens the effective focal length of a telescope, making the optical system faster for astrophotography. This results in a brighter image and a wider field of view, allowing larger areas of the sky to be captured in a single exposure.

Because more light is concentrated onto the camera sensor during the same exposure time, the reducer increases the signal-to-noise ratio, which leads to finer detail and improved overall image quality.
