This special counter-nut M52x0.75 has screw for self positioning. That mean when you tighten that screw, nut stays fixed, at same position all the time, by itself.

If you use conventional adapter, and want to take adapter down from device (thread) and be sure device comes to same position when you put it back on, you should use this “Counter-nut M52x0.75 with screw for self positioning“. Counter nut stays fixed by itself.

If you use Modular adapter system, and modular connector stays on your device all the time, you do not need this special counter nut.

You can use counter nut that comes on your device, or buy separate regular counter nut (with no self positioning).
