Description
The SkyWatcher telescope is an ideal observation tool for astronomy enthusiasts who seek high-quality images of various celestial objects. With a main mirror diameter of 152 mm and a Dobson mount, this telescope delivers exceptional performance. It is highly recommended for members of the observational sections of the Polish Society of Milievers Astronomy.
One of the key strengths of this telescope is its ability to provide clear views of objects within the Solar System. Whether it's observing the Moon with its intricate craters, Jupiter with its four visible moons and distinct stripes, Mars with its caps during favorable opposition, Saturn with its stunning ring system and visible Cassini break, or capturing the phases of inner planets, Uranus, Neptune, asteroids, and comets if they are fortunate enough to appear, this telescope covers a wide range of observations.
Furthermore, it excels in observing double and multiple stars, variable stars, and deep space objects. It unveils the beauty of nebulae, galaxies, open and spherical clusters, allowing astronomers to explore the wonders of the universe. Additional filters, such as the nebula filter, can be utilized to enhance the image quality, especially in areas affected by artificial light.
With its specific parameters, the telescope also facilitates the observation of moons accompanying the planets in the solar system. The telescope's focal length of 1200 mm with an f/8 aperture and a 2-inch Cryford lift, which can be reduced to 1.25 inches, contribute to its exceptional performance. It comes with a large 6x30 finder, two 25mm and 10mm ploessl eyepieces, and an intuitively simple Dobson's azimuthal assembly. The telescope also features a T-2 thread, enabling the attachment of a DSLR camera, allowing users to photograph bright objects. Depending on the camera model (Canon, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Pentax, or Olympus), the appropriate reduction is required.
The Dobson's assembly, known for its simplicity and affordability, is the chosen configuration for this telescope. It offers smooth control in two axes: the azimuthal (horizontal) plane and the vertical (height) axis. This design makes it highly suitable for visual observations.
The telescope itself consists of an optical tube measuring 112x18 cm and weighing 6 kg, while the azimuthal assembly weighs 8 kg. It is originally packed in two cardboard boxes and is collimated and prepared for observation after assembly.
In addition to its astronomical applications, this telescope also proves useful for observing and photographing aircraft at cruising altitudes.
The offered telescope package includes all necessary accessories, an optical optics set, a set of eyepieces, and assembly accessories. It provides everything needed to begin observing the skies as soon as the weather permits.
