The optical system of the Askar FRA600 consists of two lens groups comprising five lenses. To combat chromatic aberration, the manufacturer has incorporated two lenses made from low-dispersion glass. Additionally, the multilayer anti-reflective coatings applied to the glass surfaces enable the instrument to achieve excellent contrast.

This instrument offers an impressive focal ratio of f/5.6, which can be further enhanced with the use of an optional dedicated focal length reducer. The mechanical design features a robust 4.2" focuser equipped with a microfocuser, while the large diameter of the fully illuminated circle ensures compatibility with full-frame cameras and cameras equipped with a full-frame sensor.
