Building on the success of its predecessor, the ASI 183 MM, this camera features the cutting-edge Sony IMX533 sensor, offering high quantum efficiency and minimal noise levels for stunning image clarity and tonal depth.
The inclusion of Sony Starvis™ technology in the IMX533 sensor enhances sensitivity, making it possible to capture faint celestial signals from distant galaxies. One of the standout features of this camera is its elimination of the Amp Glow effect, a common issue in many CMOS sensors where parts of the image become overly bright during long exposures. Despite lacking active cooling, the camera impressively manages to maintain a low readout noise level ranging between 1 and 3.8 e.
Encased in a sleek, compact metal housing with the distinctive ZWO red finish, the ZWO ASI 533 MM camera is as visually appealing as it is functional.
