Description
The AC 70 Telescope:
Featuring a 70mm aperture, this telescope outperforms the naked eye by gathering 100 times more light, surpassing the typical beginner's telescope with its slightly smaller 60mm aperture. This translates to higher resolution, allowing for detailed views of large planets like Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars at a maximum magnification of 140X. Explore the captivating lunar landscape, observing its cratered features under varying lighting conditions throughout different phases. Daytime nature observation is equally fascinating, facilitated by adding an erecting lens or an Amici prism. Precise focusing is achieved through the adjustment knob on the rack and pinion focuser, ensuring sharpness remains fixed during observation sessions.
Additionally, this telescope serves as a valuable asset for advanced astronomers or as a transition to a more powerful system, with optics well-suited for use as a guide scope mounted atop larger telescopes for imaging or guiding purposes.
The EQ-1 Mount:
This parallactic mount offers accurate alignment to the Pole Star, enabling precise adjustment of optics for any observing site or geographical latitude. Slow motions on both the Right Ascension and Declination axes allow for precise object adjustment and tracking, complemented by a counterweight for optimal balance.
The EQ-1 mount is available in two variants: with a free-standing tripod or a table-top tripod, catering to different preferences and needs. The free-standing tripod, extendable between 70cm and 120cm in height, features a tray for eyepieces and accessories. Meanwhile, the compact and lightweight table-top tripod is ideal for travel, fitting into virtually any bag. Easy to set up, it is suitable for beginners and children alike. An optional motor for tracking in right ascension is available for upgrade.
