The innovative and user-friendly SolarQuest™ mount from Skywatcher revolutionizes solar tracking with its automatic Sun-finding and tracking capabilities, making it ideal for use with a solar telescope.

Simply ensure the tripod is level and point the solar telescope slightly left of the Sun. Skywatcher's cutting-edge HelioFind™ technology takes over from there. With a single button press, the mount levels the telescope, calculates the Sun's altitude and azimuth using GPS data, and slews to the appropriate elevation. It then searches clockwise for the Sun. The solar sensor locates the Sun and maintains it within the field of view for continuous tracking.

The SolarQuest is not only portable and quiet but also versatile in its power options, operating on battery power or an optional 12V DC power supply (tip positive).

This mount is particularly useful for observing sunspots, solar eclipses, surface details on the Sun, and the solar transits of the inner planets.
