Sky-watcher SynScan kit for Dobson 8" (SW-4254)

This long-awaited kit allows you to upgrade a standard Dobsonian telescope to a fully functional GoTo system.
The core of the kit is the SynScan controller, also found in the popular HEQ5 and EQ6 mounts, which can locate any of over 30,000 celestial objects. The system automatically tracks objects, greatly simplifying observation with a Dobsonian telescope.

The GoTo Upgrade Kit is supplied as new base plates for the Dobsonian mount, with motors pre-installed. The kit includes all necessary components for installation, such as special clamps for the optical tube, motor housings, screws, wiring, and the GoTo controller itself.

This version is designed for Synta SKDOB 8 (basic version) and BKDOB 8 Tube Flex (collapsible Dobsonian) telescopes.
