TS Optics SC Reducer + Off-Axis Guider Set (87875)

This set includes the TS Optics F/6.3 focal reducer and corrector for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, along with the TS Optics Off-Axis Guider featuring a length of 16 mm.

The focal reducer is a high-quality four-element image field corrector designed for SC Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes from Celestron and Meade. It reduces the focal length by a factor of 0.63, resulting in exposure times that are approximately 2.5 times shorter. In addition, it corrects and flattens the naturally curved field of view typical of Schmidt-Cassegrain systems, producing sharper stars across the entire image field.

Installation is straightforward, as the reducer screws directly onto the standard 2-inch SC thread of the telescope. It is suitable for both astrophotography and visual observation. The corrected image field has a diameter of 24 mm. A generous working distance of 85 mm from the SC thread on the camera side allows sufficient space for various accessories and configurations.

The included off-axis guider is integrated into the set for precise guiding during astrophotography. It features a T2 thread on the side for connecting an autoguider camera or a reticle eyepiece.
