Low Noise and Frost Resistance
Both the Matrice 4D and 4TD are fitted with low-noise, anti-ice propellers as standard. These prevent loss of motor performance due to icing, ensuring safe operation even in freezing rain, and reduce noise during flight.

Wind Stability
These drones deliver outstanding flight performance, maintaining stable take-off, landing, and flight at wind speeds of up to 12 m/s, with an airtime of up to 32 minutes.

Robust and Reliable
The DJI Dock 3 offers dust and water resistance to IP56 standards. The Matrice 4D and 4TD are IP55 certified, ensuring that all internal systems are protected from the elements. This design allows for smooth operation in harsh conditions.

Extended Flight Time and Protection
With a fully charged battery, the Matrice 4D/4TD can fly for up to 47 minutes at a speed of 15 m/s—a 37% increase in operating time. Within a 10 km radius, the drones provide 18 minutes of operation. They are designed for demanding environments, certified at IP55.

Obstacle Detection
The obstacle detection module combines LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar for precise avoidance, achieving 12 mm accuracy at speeds up to 15 m/s. This allows safe navigation around complex power lines and improved positioning in poor lighting. Operational safety is enhanced in challenging grid and substation environments. If the drone or module is damaged during use, DJI offers official free compensation.

Clarity and Precision

Low-Light Performance
The Matrice 4D series features four high-resolution fisheye lenses for improved visual positioning and obstacle detection in low-light conditions. Night mode enables full-color night vision. The Matrice 4TD offers black-and-white night vision with an IR cut filter and NIR auxiliary light covering up to 100 meters. Its infrared thermal camera supports a high-resolution mode (up to 1280 × 1024) and UHR infrared imaging for detailed temperature readings.

Image Quality
The medium telephoto camera is ideal for medium-range inspections, detecting pins and cracks from 10 meters away and reading measurement devices clearly. The telephoto camera captures details from up to 250 meters. The gimbal can tilt up to 80 degrees for underside bridge inspections. Improved stabilization keeps foreground subjects clear, even at high zoom.

High-Precision Surveying
These drones support high-precision mapping with new oblique shooting functions in five directions and orthophotography in three directions. Real-time terrain tracking meets diverse mapping needs. DJI FlightHub 2, optimized for these models, enables advanced flight planning for intelligent 3D capture, geometric routes, and slope missions, boosting efficiency and modeling detail.

Airborne Relay Capability
When operated with the DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller, the Matrice 4D series supports an innovative onboard relay function. A drone can ascend as a relay for another drone to extend its range, aligning automatically for uninterrupted video transmission without 4G, even when obstacles are present.
