Motic BA310 MET binocular microscope (45005)

The BA310MET series is a robust and affordable line of metallurgical microscopes designed for incident light applications. These microscopes are ideal for industrial quality control of opaque materials such as minerals and metal samples, providing efficient and reliable performance. The BA310MET is also well-suited for educational settings in engineering and materials science, where ease of use and cost-effectiveness are important. Motic has focused on optimizing the BA310MET for daily industrial environments, ensuring both user comfort and work efficiency.

The Epi-Illuminator uses a powerful 12V/50W halogen light source, which can be easily replaced with an LED module for different color temperatures (4500K or 6000K). Built-in field and aperture diaphragms help reduce stray light and enhance contrast. The new Long-Working Distance LM Plan objectives feature multi-layer coatings for improved image quality, and the fully corrected tube lens produces intermediate images without color fringes. Digital documentation is straightforward through the trinocular port, and the design includes a standardized ISO photo exit. Depending on the model, stages with various sizes and travel ranges are available, including options for transmitted light and handling larger samples.

Objectives
The BA310MET series features a new generation of LM Plan Achromatic objectives made from high-quality glass, following the CCIS® Optical concept. Multi-layer coatings provide enhanced contrast and image quality. The reversed, ball-bearing 5-fold nosepiece ensures precise alignment and repeatability. For higher resolution needs, EC-M Plan objectives are available as options.

Illumination
The Epi-Illuminator is based on a 12V/50W halogen lamp with an external power supply to minimize heat near the microscope. The halogen bulb can be replaced with a 3W LED module (4500K or 6000K). The BA310MET-T model also features built-in 6V/30W halogen Koehler illumination for transmitted light, also upgradeable to LED.
