Description
ITAS Series - Advanced Iridium Transceiver Antenna System
The ITAS Series - Advanced Iridium Transceiver Antenna System is the ultimate solution for all your communication needs, offering a seamless plug-and-play experience. Designed to simplify satellite communication, it integrates key components into one compact system.
Key Features
- Integrated with Iridium 9602 SBD transceiver and antenna
 - Comes with a serial data interface and power regulation circuit
 - Uses M12/8 connector to interface with customer hardware
 - Supports Iridium Short Burst Data (SBD) for both MO-SBD and MT-SBD messages
 - Eliminates RF cable loss for enhanced network performance
 - Certified for operation in harsh environments

Benefits
The ITAS system is designed for easy installation and integration, making it ideal for developers with tight time-to-market pressures. This reduces development time and costs significantly, making it perfect for M2M applications such as remote asset tracking and monitoring solutions.
Power Options
- Standard version: 8-32VDC power supply
 - Optional version: Tailored for a 5V regulated power supply

Installation Options
- Screw mount with a short cable pigtail and M12 8pin connector
 - Screw mount with an integrated M12 8pin interface

How it Works
The ITAS functions as a smart antenna with a non-provisioned 9602 SBD Modem. It connects to your system using its serial interface with an M12/8pin connector. The communication and power supply are managed through this connection. Communication with the ITAS utilizes standard AT-commands via the RS232 interface. The device requires provisioning by authorized Iridium partners and does not need a SIM-card or any unit opening.
