This drive is designed for use with PULSAR domes measuring either 2.2 or 2.7 metres in diameter. You can operate the drive using the integrated LCD display or through PC software. The system is supplied fully pre-assembled and ready for installation with just four bolts.

Motorizing your dome shutter eliminates the need for manual operation in the dark and is an essential step toward achieving fully remote operation of your observatory. Charging is handled by the included PULSAR Induction Charger or a compatible power tank battery charger. The new Pulsar Induction Charger is an excellent upgrade for the Pulsar Shutter Drive. The drive uses an internal Lithium Ion battery, which is typically charged by a solar charger mounted outside the observatory dome. The new induction charger offers greater efficiency and is mounted inside the dome on the rotation drive housing. You can easily access charging and battery information through the rotation drive control box, allowing you to monitor the status of your shutter battery at any time.

The Pulsar observatory alarm is a wireless, keypad-controlled PIR security alarm. It can function either as a powerful 130dB alarm or as a chime to announce visitors. The PIR motion detector activates a loud 130dB siren when triggered. This alarm is ideal for use in homes, sheds, garages, storerooms, caravans, and boats. It features 120-degree wide-angle detection and comes with an all-directional mounting bracket for flexible installation.
