Iridium Phones
The Iridium network is the largest commercial satellite network in the world and the only network that offers truly global communications coverage (100% of the planet). Iridium satellites are in low earth orbit (LEO), which allows the use of smaller antennas. The devices have a compact, lightweight and streamlined housing and faster registration times on the network. The Iridium constellation consists of 75 satellites (66 operational and 9 in-orbit spares) that are networked just 780 kilometers above the Earth.
