Description

Magus Metal VD700 BD LCD Metallurgical Inverted Digital Microscope (83039)

This advanced inverted metallurgical microscope is designed for professional material analysis in industrial, research, and academic environments. It enables detailed examination of metals, alloys, semiconductors, and other opaque samples, including large and heavy specimens up to 2 kg. The system integrates a high-resolution digital camera and a dedicated monitor for real-time visualization. Its versatile observation techniques and robust construction make it suitable for demanding laboratory and quality control applications.

General Description

The microscope features an inverted design, where the revolving nosepiece is positioned beneath the specimen, and observations are conducted using reflected light. It supports bright field, dark field, and polarized light microscopy techniques. The system is widely used in factories, laboratories, universities, and research centers for structural analysis and inspection tasks.

Digital Camera

The included MAGUS CHD40 digital camera features an 8 MP sensor and supports automatic switching between 4K (3840×2160 px) and Full HD (1920×1080 px) depending on the connected display. It offers multiple connectivity options, including HDMI, USB 3.0, and Wi-Fi.

  • HDMI connection allows direct use with a monitor, TV, or projector without a PC
  • USB 3.0 and Wi-Fi enable connection to a computer
  • Smooth video recording at 30 fps with no lag or frame drops
  • High-quality imaging with excellent detail and accurate color reproduction
  • SONY Exmor/Starvis CMOS sensor ensures low noise and high sensitivity even in low light
  • Built-in software supports image capture, video recording, editing, and measurements

Monitor

The MAGUS MCD40 monitor is designed for seamless integration with the microscope system.

  • 13.3-inch display with IPS matrix for wide viewing angles
  • 4K resolution (3840×2160 px) for sharp and vivid images
  • Accurate color reproduction even when viewed from an angle
  • Can be mounted on a stand, attached to the camera, or fixed to the microscope

Optical System

The microscope head can be installed in a standard orientation or rotated 180° for flexibility. It includes both a trinocular tube and a side camera port, allowing multiple mounting configurations for cameras and displays.

  • Beam splitting options: 50:50 and 100:0 (head), 100:0 and 0:100 (body)
  • Five-position revolving nosepiece located under the specimen
  • Long working distance BD objectives optimized for brightfield and darkfield
  • Four objectives included, with one additional slot available

Illumination

A 50W halogen light source provides warm, comfortable illumination suitable for long observation sessions.

  • Adjustable brightness and high-intensity lighting for all techniques
  • Köhler illumination supported via aperture and field diaphragms
  • Light source can be centered along three axes
  • Integrated polarization and darkfield devices

Stage and Focusing

The stage is designed for large and heavy samples, ensuring stability and precise positioning.

  • Stage size: 242 × 200 mm
  • Rotating stage plate (Ø130 mm) with interchangeable отверстия: 10 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm
  • Two-axis mechanical movement (X/Y)
  • Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides
  • Coarse focus includes tension adjustment and locking mechanism
  • Fine focus precision: 0.002 mm

Accessories and Expandability

The microscope can be enhanced with additional accessories such as eyepieces, objectives, digital cameras, and calibration slides to expand its functionality.
