Description

Delta Optical MET-1000-TRF Metallographic Microscope (DO-3704)

This is a high-end metallographic microscope designed for advanced material analysis in laboratories, universities, and industrial environments. It allows detailed observation of both opaque and transparent samples using reflected and transmitted light techniques. The device supports multiple observation methods, including bright field, dark field, and polarized light, making it highly versatile. Its robust optical system and ergonomic design ensure precise and comfortable work during long observation sessions.

General Description

The microscope is intended for examining opaque samples in reflected light (EPI) and transparent specimens in transmitted light (DIA). Observations can be performed in bright field at magnifications of 50x, 200x, 400x, 500x, and 1000x, as well as in dark field at 100x and 200x (with dedicated dark field objectives included).

It features a trinocular head with a third optical path that allows connection of a microscope camera or photographic device. Two adapters are included: a 23.2 mm adapter and a C-mount adapter, enabling compatibility with different sensor sizes.

High-quality planachromatic objectives provide sharp, detailed images across the entire field of view. Built-in field diaphragms in both upper (EPI) and lower (DIA) illumination systems allow proper Köhler illumination setup, ensuring optimal contrast, resolution, and depth of field.

The microscope also supports observation in polarized reflected light thanks to included polarization filters.

A large mechanical stage with a specimen holder ensures comfortable handling of both standard slides and more demanding samples used in reflected light observations.

This metallographic microscope is widely used in material engineering applications, including:

  • Analysis of metal and alloy structures (metallographic samples)
  • Detection of microcracks
  • Examination of liquid crystals
  • Inspection of integrated circuits
  • Performing precise measurements
